1. Who we are

Pocket Safe ("the app") is an offline-first password and secure note vault developed by Contextser. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.

2. Information we collect

None. Pocket Safe is a fully offline application. We do not:

• Collect personal information
• Track usage or analytics
• Use cookies or identifiers
• Send any data to remote servers
• Require an account, email, or sign-up
• Access your contacts, photos, location, or files outside the app

3. Data stored on your device

Pocket Safe stores your passwords and secure notes locally on your device only. All entries are encrypted with industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption before being written to disk. The encryption key is protected by your device's hardware-backed keystore (Android Keystore) and unlocked using your biometric authentication or device PIN.

This data never leaves your phone. It is not synced, backed up to the cloud, or transmitted anywhere by the app.

4. Permissions we use

Pocket Safe requests the minimum permissions required to function:

• USE_BIOMETRIC — to unlock the vault using fingerprint or face
• USE_FINGERPRINT — legacy fingerprint support on older Android versions

The app does not request internet, storage, contacts, camera, location, or any other sensitive permission.

5. Third-party services

Pocket Safe does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. There is no third party that can see your data because there is no data leaving the device.

6. Backup & sync

Pocket Safe explicitly disables Android's auto-backup feature for the app (android:allowBackup="false") to ensure your encrypted vault is not copied to Google Drive or any cloud service automatically.

If you uninstall the app, your vault is deleted permanently. We cannot recover it for you because we never had it.

7. Children's privacy

Pocket Safe does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.

8. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced through the app's release notes on Google Play.

9. Your rights

Since we don't collect, store, or process any of your data, there is nothing for you to request, delete, or export from us. Your data lives entirely under your control on your own device.
